PITTSBURGH -- Pitt may win this game just by using Dion Lewis.

The Panthers ran 22 offensive plays in the first quarter, and Lewis touched the ball on 19 of them. He had 17 carries for 75 yards and two receptions in the quarter. And why not? Cincinnati has no answer for him.

Lewis also twice converted fourth-and-short situations. Not only is he wearing out the smallish Bearcats defensive front, he's helping Pitt chew clock like crazy and keeping Brian Kelly's offense sidelined.

That offense came out with an impressive scoring march of its own after falling behind 7-0. It looks like Cincinnati will have to score every time it gets the ball, because its defense is overmatched.
