A postseason ranking of the Big East's Top 30 players ...
No. 16
Jordan Todman, RB, Connecticut, Soph.
Preseason rank: NR
Why him here: Todman's backfield mate, Andre Dixon, appeared at No. 20 on this list. Todman was a little bit better.
The sophomore ran for 1,188 yards, which was third best in the Big East, and averaged 5.1 yards per carry while scoring 14 rushing touchdowns. He was also a dangerous return man, averaging 25.3 yards per attempt and memorably scored on a 96-yard return at Notre Dame.
While Dixon was slightly more of a power back, Todman is shiftier and quicker at 5-foot-9 and 189 pounds. But he's also deceptively strong. And with two more years remaining, he should only get better and remain one of the top offensive players in the Big East behind UConn's strong offensive line.
