A postseason ranking of the Big East's Top 30 players ...

No. 10

Davis
Davis
Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers, Jr.

Preseason rank: 12

Why him here: It could be argued that no Big East player has a higher professional ceiling than Davis. The 6-foot-6, 325-pounder is the prototypical NFL left tackle, with tremendous athleticism for his size. In Todd McShay's latest mock draft, Davis is projected as the No. 4 overall pick, and he was a three-year starter for Rutgers before deciding to skip his senior year.

So why isn't he higher than No. 10 on this list? Well, production counts more than potential, and while Davis certainly was an All-Big East performer at times, he was also inconsistent. His efforts in the running game in particular left something to be desired. But when he was dialed in, there was no one more intimidating. He'll need to maintain that level and focus to truly succeed at the next level.
