Kelly close to new contract, says he's not interested in BC

Those Cincinnati fans worried that Boston College might make a run at coach Brian Kelly should be comforted by this story in the Cincinnati Enquirer's online edition by Bill Koch.
The story says the school and coach are closing in on a new deal that could be finalized as soon as next week. Kelly has proposed a deal that would run through 2013.
And Kelly, who grew up in Boston, had this to say when asked if he'd be interested in Boston College, which needs a new coach after firing Jeff Jagodzinski this week.
"I grew up there and watched BC," he said. "We've got a great deal of respect for their program, but that's not a job I would be interested in. At the end of the day, I've got a better situation here at the University of Cincinnati."
