Pittsburgh tailback LeSean McCoy will wait until the weekend is over before deciding whether to enter the NFL Draft, Paul Zeise reports in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's online edition.
McCoy and his famly met with coach Dave Wannstedt today. The draft-eligible sophomore was widely reported as having decided this week to jump to the NFL. The deadline for underclassmen to declare is next Thursday.
"Nothing is final. We just talked about the whole issue," McCoy told the paper.
"LeSean is an emotional kid. This was an emotional meeting," Wannstedt said. "I know LeSean loves Pitt, and we talked about the pros and cons of the decision. Now he is going to take the weekend to sleep on it, and we'll meet again on Monday."
Panthers fans everywhere will have an anxious weekend of waiting.
