Former Louisville safety Latarrius Thomas has enrolled at Eastern Michigan despite the Cardinals' refusal to release him to that school, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
Thomas followed former Louisville defensive coordinator Ron English, who took the Eastern Michigan head coaching job last month. That's why the Cardinals refused to release him from that school, and if that decision is not reversed, Thomas could not be put on scholarship for two years. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Andy Cox, who is Thomas' guardian, told the paper that Thomas was paying his own way at the Ypsilanti school right now but would appeal Louisville's restriction.
