By Andrea Adelson
Temple has hired Terry Smith as its wide receivers, the school announced Monday.
Smith spent the last 11 seasons as the head coach at Gateway High School in Monroeville, Pa.
“I am so excited to welcome Terry Smith to Temple University,” coach Matt Rhule said in a statement. "His extensive coaching background, his knowledge of the game, and his success on the high school, college and professional levels will benefit our players and our staff immediately. Throughout his coaching career, Terry has produced outstanding players. His longstanding ties in Western Pennsylvania will greatly benefit us on the recruiting trail. We are happy that Terry is now a Temple Owl."
Additionally, former Temple quarterback Colin Clancy (2005-08), defensive back Evan Cooper Jr. (2005-08), and quarterback Adam DiMichele (2006-08) were added as graduate assistant coaches.
