Michigan's Bills to have surgery after accident

Michigan walk-on tight end Jon Bills will undergo surgery Monday afternoon after being seriously injured in a car accident Friday.

Bills, a 6-3, 238-pound redshirt junior from Farmington Hills, Mich., will have surgery at University of Michigan hospital.

According to a statement released by the hospital through the university, “Jon is resting comfortably and preparing for surgery this afternoon.”

Bills appeared in two games last season for the Wolverines.

Annarbor.com reports that Bills was with current Michigan player Mark Moundros and former Michigan player Kirk Moundros at the time of the accident. Both Moundros brothers are doing OK.
