Michigan is wrapping up its first week of spring drills at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., on Friday night with a practice open to anyone who's interested. A couple opposing head coaches might be taking coach Jim Harbaugh up on that invite, or they're at least having a good time talking about it on Twitter:
After early meetings & lift tomorrow with our players. Thinking about heading to watch an open practice tomorrow at IMG with the staff. #WPS

— Mark Dantonio (@DantonioMark) March 2, 2016
Bret Bielema and his Arkansas team have a home-and-home series scheduled with the Wolverines for 2018 and 2019. Dantonio's Michigan State squad will be defending their Big Ten title when they host Harbaugh and Co. next fall.
Anyone who stops by practice Friday night is more likely to find something interesting in the stands than on the field. While Michigan probably won't show much that you can't find on their film from 2015, the stands are likely to hold a decent population of blue-chip recruits. IMG Academy's football team has more than 10 ESPN 300 players heading into their senior season on the roster. Other prospects from the talent-rich area will also be able to attend practice, but they can't talk to coaches because the recruiting calendar is in a quiet period.
Harbaugh, meanwhile, is likely grinning ear-to-ear as the rest of the college football world (joking or not) continues to take note of his creative, unorthodox ideas. More importantly, if Dantonio, Bielema and Harbaugh were to actually meet up for lunch in Florida, they could probably auction off the fourth seat at their table and raise enough money to pay the full bill for Michigan's spring trip.
