Got a bit bogged down in signing day mayhem this morning, but here are a few interesting stories from around the Big Ten.
- Penn State head coach Joe Paterno didn't visit a single high school this year, but the Nittany Lions still expect to sign a strong class, Jeff McLane writes in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Former Penn State quarterback Pat Devlin officially joins Delaware's incoming recruiting class today.
- Some good stuff on Michigan's and Michigan State's recruiting from the Detroit Free Press' live blog.
- Ohio State's 2009 class is drawing rave reviews as the top crop in the Big Ten, Tim May writes in The Columbus Dispatch. Tight end Reid Fragel, a Michigan resident, gets flack for picking the Buckeyes, but he knows he made the right choice, Angelique Chengelis writes in The Detroit News.
- Illinois' decision to use Justin Green as a running back lured him away from Ohio State, Bob Asmussen writes in The (Champaign) News-Gazette.
- Minnesota signed a smaller class than last year, but the Golden Gophers didn't lose much in the way of quality, Kent Youngblood writes in the Star Tribune.
