Hate to call out my man Logan from State College, but remember this from Friday's mailblog?
Logan from State College, Pa., writes: ADAM! You gotta be kidding me! I e-mailed you yesterday, I'm sure you remember. 13 points for TEMPLE?! IT'S TEMPLE ADAM! They sneak past UConn and you give them 13?! We gave up 24 to Alabama and you give the TEMPLE OWLS 13?! You better hope the put up 13 or I'm gonna be all over you like white on rice on a paper plate with a glass of milk in a snow storm...

Well, Logan, Temple already has 13 points, and we've got three quarters to go.

The Owls have jumped on Penn State in Happy Valley, surging to a 13-6 lead. Temple simply looks faster than Penn State right now, as running back Bernard Pierce has been very impressive, and his backup James Nixon had a 61-yard burst. Nittany Lions running back Evan Royster had the perfect start, ripping off a 50-yard run on the first play from scrimmage, but his slump returned a few minutes later as he fumbled.

Rob Bolden and the Penn State offense need to rally against a Temple team that looks ready to play. Penn State's speed on defense is becoming a bigger concern, as the Lions miss Navorro Bowman at linebacker.

Al Golden's potential audition to be Joe Paterno's successor is going well so far.
