Lions edge Terps in video game fundraiser

Just wanted to give you a quick update on the video game tournament Penn State and Maryland held on Saturday as part of Global Rare Disease Day. Both teams' chapters of Uplifting Athletes had separate competitions in NCAA Football on Xbox, and the winners met in a virtual final.

Penn State defensive tackle Devon Still won the event in State College by using -- brace yourselves, Nittany Lions fans -- the Ohio State team to outlast wide receiver Derek Moye, who played with Clemson. He met up with Maryland tight end Drew Gloster in the championship.

Both players selected their actual teams for the final, and Still's Penn State squad prevailed 29-14.

Proceeds from the event went to the Kidney Cancer Association.
