ESPN's Joe Schad has two reports on quarterback transfers, both of which involve Big Ten teams.

The bigger news involves former Miami quarterback Robert Marve, who could be heading to Purdue after visiting West Lafayette earlier this month. A source tells Schad that Marve prefers Purdue ahead of South Florida, Nebraska and Arizona State. Though Marve couldn't help the Boilermakers' quarterback depth for 2009 -- he must sit out the season, according to NCAA transfer rules -- he would be the favorite to start in 2010, especially if Justin Siller doesn't re-enroll.

Regardless of Marve's troubles at Miami, he would be a major get for new Boilers head coach Danny Hope.

Arizona State might have become a less likely destination for Marve because former Michigan quarterback Steven Threet will become a Sun Devil, according to Schad. Threet, who started eight games for the Wolverines last fall announcing in February he would transfer, visited both Arizona State and Oregon State but appears headed to the desert.
