Here's my weekly look at future Big Ten member Nebraska.

Record: 9-2 (5-2 Big 12)

National rank: No. 15 in BCS standings, No. 16 in AP poll, No. 15 in Coaches' poll

Last result: Lost 9-6 to Texas A&M

News to know: It was a very rough night in College Station for the Pelini brothers, Taylor Martinez and anyone associated with the Nebraska Cornhuskers football program. Nebraska's loss was filled with controversy, from the disproportionate number of penalties called on the Huskers to the postgame behavior of both head coach Bo Pelini and defensive coordinator Carl Pelini to the in-game scolding given by Bo Pelini to T-Magic. It definitely looked like Nebraska got a raw deal from the officials, sparking some conspiracy theories with the Huskers' impending departure from the Big 12. But the Huskers also committed two turnovers and couldn't find the consistency they needed on both sides of the ball. There was some talk following the game that Martinez had quit the team, but Bo Pelini dispelled it. A bigger concern for the Huskers is Martinez's sprained right ankle, which could limit him this week against Colorado. The good news for Nebraska is it can still clinch the Big 12 North title by beating the Buffaloes on Friday. Can the Huskers put all the distractions behind them and take care of business?

Up next: Friday vs. Colorado
