Ranking the Big Ten: Brandon Graham, No. 10

We've finally reached the top 10 players in the Big Ten, which begin with ...

No. 10

Brandon Graham, DE, Michigan, Sr., 6-2, 268

Why he's here -- There might not be a better pure sacks specialist in the Big Ten than Graham, who has body-slammed quarterbacks 18.5 times the last two years. He has led Michigan in sacks in each of those seasons, and tied for the league lead in tackles for loss with 20 last fall.

Despite being the youngest member of Michigan's starting defensive line in 2008, Graham had the best season of the lot, recording three sacks against both Wisconsin and Michigan State. He tied for 11th nationally in sacks per game with .91.  After briefly flirting with the NFL draft, Graham will be the undisputed leader of a Wolverines line filled with young talent.

It's very close between Graham and Northwestern's Corey Wootton for the title of Big Ten's top defensive end. Wootton gets a slight edge because of his unusual size and versatility, but Graham will once again be a handful for opposing offensive linemen this fall.
