Ohio State made it official Thursday and announced the hiring of Stan Drayton as receivers coach. Drayton, who replaces Darrell Hazell, will begin his duties Monday.
Drayton served as Florida's running backs coach and recruiting coordinator in 2010 and also coached the Gators' running backs from 2005-07. He has coached running backs at Tennessee (2008), Mississippi State (2004), Syracuse (2009), Bowling Green (2000), Villanova (1996-2000), Penn (1995), Eastern Michigan (1994) and Allegheny College (1993).
He grew up in Cleveland.
"Stan Drayton first and foremost is a fine person and family man. He is a Buckeye born and bred, and will add a tremendous dimension to our football family,” Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel said in a prepared statement. "We are fortunate to gain one of the finest coaches in America to serve our kids, school and community."
