Indiana has suspended defensive tackle Deonte Mack and linebacker Ian Reeves for Thursday's opener against Eastern Kentucky for an unspecified violation of team rules, head coach Bill Lynch announced Sunday.

Mack started nine games at defensive tackle last year and recorded 21 tackles and two sacks, but he didn't appear on the preliminary depth chart for Eastern Kentucky released Friday. One of Indiana's only experienced interior lineman, Mack missed spring practice with a hip injury and had been working at both end and tackle in preseason camp.

Reeves, a redshirt sophomore, appeared in 10 games last year at linebacker and on special teams.
