After Terrelle Pryor's unusual and controversial route to the NFL, only one pro destination truly made sense for the former Ohio State quarterback.

Oakland.

Pryor
Pryor
It became a reality Monday as the Raiders, who rarely operate by the book, selected Pryor in the third round of the NFL's supplemental draft. Oakland relinquished a third-round pick in the 2012 draft for the rights to Pryor, who last week was declared eligible for the supplemental draft but cannot practice or play until after the first five games.

By most accounts, Pryor had a strong showing at his pro day on Saturday in Pittsburgh. Still, many analysts projected Pryor to go in the fourth round or later.

You can always count on the Raiders to shake things up. This marriage is rather perfect, isn't it?

One interesting note from ESPN's John Clayton:
A Raiders source told ESPN.com's John Clayton that the team is looking at Pryor more as receiver than a quarterback at the NFL level.

It'll be interesting to see where Pryor lands with the Silver and Black and how he handles an often dysfunctional environment in Oakland.

Raiders fans can only hope he'll turn out a lot better than JaMarcus Russell.
