The game is over in Columbus, and Luke Fickell's honeymoon as Buckeyes coach could be, too.
A huge sigh of relief for Buckeyes fans, but plenty of concerns ahead.
Ohio State 27, Toledo 22: Ohio State's win streak against in-state opponents is alive, but just barely. Tim Beckman's Toledo Rockets gave the Buckeyes all they could handle on both sides of the ball, and nearly pulled out a historic victory at Ohio Stadium. The Buckeyes needed one final defensive stop and got one as John Simon came up big multiple times in crunch time. Toledo still made far too many plays against an Ohio State secondary that must tighten up before the trip to Miami. As for the offense? Joe Bauserman played the entire game at quarterback as the coaches tried to build his confidence after a strong debut. Bauserman didn't look nearly as polished, completing just 16 of 30 pass attempts. Could we see Braxton Miller next week? Carlos Hyde once again provided a spark at running back, but the offense wasn't nearly as consistent as it needs to be for Ohio State to beat better competition. It'll be a busy week for Fickell and his staff as they have a lot to fix before heading down to Miami.
