Northwestern sputtering on offense

Is it Dan Persa time?

Sure seems like it as Northwestern has nothing going on offense against Army today. Sophomore Kain Colter did an admirable job in his first two games, but his limitations are a passer are showing today as Army leads the Wildcats 14-7.

Colter has completed just 12 of 23 passes for 89 yards, and while the ground game has been OK, Northwestern needs to pass the ball to truly spur its offense.

The team says Persa only will be used in emergency situations. Things seem like they're getting very desperate, but I wouldn't expect to see No. 7. Northwestern has been very conservative with Persa throughout his rehab process.

The Wildcats definitely are on upset alert against 0-2 Army.
