As if Minnesota needed another problem this month ...
Quarterback MarQueis Gray is questionable for Saturday's game at Michigan because of a toe injury, Gophers coach Jerry Kill said Wednesday.
"Tomorrow will be a big day for him to see how he moves around," Kill said. "We're being cautious on that."
Minnesota likely will decide Thursday whether or not Gray can play in the Big Ten opener Saturday at No. 19 Michigan. Freshman Max Shortell, who has played a decent amount in the first four games, would start in Gray's place if the junior isn't able to go.
