STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Ricky Stanzi's first-half struggles have been well chronicled, and the Iowa junior quarterback is off to a shaky start once again.
Let's be clear: Stanzi's interception wasn't his fault and should have been a nice completion to Colin Sandeman, who juggled the ball. But Stanzi hasn't been too accurate on several seemingly easy completions and made a questionable decision on a deep pass to Trey Stross when he threw into double coverage.
Stanzi is just 3 for 8 so far, and while his receivers haven't helped him out, he needs to settle down a bit on some of the easier throws.
