Michigan State's victory against Illinois appears to have come with a hefty cost. Running backs Glenn Winston and Larry Caper and quarterback Keith Nichol all sustained injuries in the 24-14 win in Champaign.

After a strong start, Winston suffered a knee injury in the second quarter and did not return. The injury appears to be serious and possibly season-ending, but I'm waiting for confirmation from Michigan State. Nichol, who started in place of the injured Kirk Cousins, hurt his throwing shoulder in the fourth quarter. Caper also sustained a knee injury.

Winston and Caper are the team's top two rushers this season.
