Located to the right of the stage in the team meeting room, Northwestern's values board gives players a daily reminder of what they're striving for in the program. The items are displayed in a pyramid, which begins with the program's two cornerstone values: attitude and investment.
Players know they have to approach football with the right type of attitude, and they have to invest the time to succeed. Seven other values are displayed: trust, character, respect, honesty, family, effort and respond.
During training, players work their way up to the top of the pyramid, which contacts the letters W.I.N. -- What's Important Now. It addresses the need to make football a priority.
