ESPN.com has revealed its preseason All-America team, and four Big Ten players made the list, including two from Wisconsin.
Ohio State defensive end John Simon was the lone Big Ten player to appear on the defensive side.
Nebraska special-teams ace Brett Maher was named the kicker for ESPN.com's team.
Some notable players from the league were discussed but ultimately missed the cut, including Michigan offensive tackle Taylor Lewan, Purdue defensive tackle Kawann Short, Penn State linebacker Gerald Hodges, Wisconsin linebacker Chris Borland, Ohio State defensive lineman Johnathan Hankins and Michigan State cornerback Johnny Adams. All will have a chance to impress this season and make the postseason All-America team, which is of course a far greater honor.
The SEC placed nine players on the All-America team, leading all conferences.
