I wanted to give you a quick update on Iowa defensive coordinator Norm Parker.
The 68-year-old was hospitalized this week but allowed to coach from the press box during Saturday's game against Indiana. Parker has battled diabetes for years and had a toe amputated before the season after it got infected.
"He's got a foot situation and we've been pushing the envelope all season long," head coach Kirk Ferentz said, "so we're just trying to be a little smarter about that and trying to keep him off his feet."
Iowa defenders had Parker in their thoughts when they took the field.
"He was in the hospital," defensive tackle Christian Ballard said. "He's doing good. We wish him the best. He's just a great guy, and winning one for him was definitely a priority."
