How we voted in's Top 25

November, 5, 2012
Neither Adam nor I have any hand in the BCS standings or the Associated Press poll. But we do vote in's weekly power rankings. Here's how we voted this week:

Brian's Top 25

1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. Kansas State
4. Notre Dame
5. Ohio State
6. LSU
7. Georgia
8. Florida State
9. Florida
10. Clemson
11. South Carolina
12. Oklahoma
13. Louisville
14. Oregon State
15. Stanford
16. Texas A&M
17. UCLA
18. Nebraska
19. Louisiana Tech
20. Texas
21. USC
22. Toledo
23. Northern Illinois
24. Texas Tech
25. Kent State

Our top four teams are identical, and we differ on No. 5. I moved Ohio State up a notch, while Adam elevated Georgia. I only dropped LSU one spot after it mostly outplayed No. 1 Alabama on Saturday, while Adam dropped the Tigers to No. 7. ... We both have Nebraska at No. 18, which happens to be where the Huskers rank in the BCS standings. ... I very nearly put Northwestern in this week, but that would be inconsistent with our Big Ten power rankings. I was really not impressed with some of the candidates for the bottom of the poll. Rutgers and Mississippi State? They've played nobody. I rewarded Kent State, even though it was blown out earlier this year by -- wait for it -- Kentucky. Yeah, things are rough. ... Some solid MAC-tion in our ballots with Toledo and Northern Illinois on both and Kent State on mine. That means there are as many MAC teams as Big Ten teams in Adam's Top 25 and more in mine. It's been that kind of year.

What does your Top 25 look like this week?
