IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Mike Kafka's hamstring injury will be an issue for Northwestern today, as we just saw.

On third-and-3 from the Iowa 31, Kafka had time to throw and an open area to run for the first time. But he hesitated, clearly not confident in the hamstring, and ended up taking a sack. It cost Northwestern a first down and a field goal opportunity.

Backup Dan Persa looked good on the option, so I'd expect to see more of him for the Wildcats. Iowa remains in control, up 10-0.
