Montee Ball hasn't had quite the same year he did in 2011, but he is once again a finalist for the Doak Walker Award, which goes to the top running back in college football.
The Wisconsin senior joins Oregon's Kenjon Barner and UCLA's Jonathan Franklin as the three finalists for the award. Ball has rushed for 1,417 yards and 17 touchdowns this year and has tied Travis Prentice for the NCAA career touchdowns record.
The three finalists will be highlighted on ESPNU during The Home Depot College Football Awards Nomination Special on Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET. The Doak Walker Award winner will be revealed as part of The Home Depot College Football Awards show on Dec. 6, which airs on ESPN.
