A quick spin around the Big Ten right now.

Wisconsin-Indiana: After a slow start, Wisconsin has turned it on with 17 second-quarter points. Running back John Clay has another 100-yard rushing performance, and quarterback Scott Tolzien tossed a touchdown pass to Isaac Anderson. The Badgers have piled up more than 300 yards in the opening half. Indiana quarterback Ben Chappell has been very impressive, completing 12 of his first 14 passes, but one went for an interception.

Purdue-Michigan: The Wolverines are playing with a sense of urgency today in what might be their last chance to get bowl eligible. Big plays have sparked the offense, as Brandon Minor has two long touchdown runs and Tate Forcier accounted for his first touchdown in four games, a long pass to Roy Roundtree. Joey Elliott has a nice completion percentage but two interceptions for Purdue, which seems to be falling apart on defense.

Illinois-Minnesota: The Illini lost starting quarterback Juice Williams to an ankle injury, but they remain very much in command at Minnesota. An interception return for a touchdown by freshman cornerback Terry Hawthorne has sparked Illinois, which is holding Minnesota's offense down so far. Williams played well before his injury, but backup Jacob Charest is holding it down well.

Western Michigan-Michigan State: The Spartans answered coach Mark Dantonio's call and came out with a purpose, jumping all over Western Michigan. Ashton Leggett has rushed for three touchdowns in relief of the injured Larry Caper, and quarterback Kirk Cousins has been absolutely brilliant (15-for-17 passing, 249 yards, 2 TDs). Greg Jones and the Spartans defense held Western Michigan to just 36 total yards in the first half.
