SERIES: Ohio State is 51-17-5 all-time against Wisconsin, but just 2-3 under Jim Tressel.

NOTES
  • The only Big Ten team that Tressel has a losing record against is Wisconsin. Tressel is 2-3 against the Badgers. Illinois and Penn State are the only other Big Ten teams to defeat the Tressel-led Buckeyes more than once.
  • Over the past two seasons, Ohio State is a perfect 8-0 in Big Ten road games. Wisconsin, however, is a perfect 16-0 at home over that span (conference and non-conference games included). Something's got to give.
  • Ohio State is just 4-3 in Big Ten road openers under Tressel. The three losses include a 2003 trip to Madison.
  • Ohio State is 8-5 on the road vs. ranked opponents under Tressel. The Buckeyes have won 7 of their last 8, with the loss coming earlier this season at No. 1 USC.
  • Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema is a perfect 16-0 at home as Wisconsin's head coach. That 16-game win streak is the second longest active streak in the country.
  • Wisconsin has been dominant during its home win streak, outscoring opponents by just over three touchdowns per game.
  • Twice during Bielema's tenure as Wisconsin's head coach, the Badgers lost on the road and returned home the following week. Both times Wisconsin rebounded with a win. Both instances occurred last season. After losing at Penn State, Wisconsin returned home to beat Northern Illinois. Then after losing at Ohio State, the Badgers defeated Michigan at home.
  • Wisconsin needs to feed the ball to running back P.J. Hill early and often. The Badgers are a perfect 12-0 when Hill carries the ball at least 25 times. That includes a 2-0 mark this season. Hill has never faced Ohio State, however; he was injured and did not play in their meeting last season.
  • Ohio State's defense rises to the occasion on the road. The Buckeyes haven't allowed a 100-yard rusher in a Big Ten road game since Minnesota's Laurence Maroney rushed for 127 on 25 carries in 2005.
