Wisconsin has found its new receivers coach, and it's former Illinois co-offensive coordinator Chris Beatty, according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal.
The report says that Badgers head coach Gary Andersen could announce the hiring as soon as today.
Beatty spent last season with the Illini before being dismissed after the season. He was responsible for most of the team's play-calling, and Illinois produced the worst offense in the Big Ten.
Beatty's previous experience includes coaching the wide receivers at Vanderbilt, the running backs and slot receivers at West Virginia, and the running backs at Northern Illinois. He was known as a strong recruiter while at West Virginia.
Wide receivers coach is the final vacancy on Andersen's initial staff in Madison, and the Badgers could use a strong mentor there as they struggled to find complementary options to Jared Abbrederis in 2012.
