For the second time this season, Wisconsin has responded from a bye week by jumping all over its opponent.

Junior quarterback Scott Tolzien and the Badgers' offense looks extremely sharp so far, as Wisconsin leads Hawaii 14-0. after one quarter. Tolzien has completed 5 of his first 6 pass attempts for 98 yards, while wideout Nick Toon and tight end Lance Kendricks both have two receptions. The play-action passing attack is humming, and running back John Clay already has a touchdown run.

Perhaps most impressive, the Badgers defense is holding Hawaii's pass-happy offense in check. Safety Jay Valai has an interception and Hawaii has only 54 pass yards (and total yards, for that matter).

The Outback Bowl officials have to be impressed so far, as a Wisconsin win puts it in position to play Jan. 1 in Tampa against Auburn.
