- All nine Michigan State football players charged with assault and conspiracy in connection with a Nov. 22 incident have turned themselves in and pleaded not guilty, Eric Lacy writes in The Detroit News. Two of those players embarrassed head coach Mark Dantonio, but his intent to give them second chances was noble, Howie Beardsley writes in The Grand Rapids Press.
