How we voted in's Top 25

October, 14, 2013
Neither Adam nor I vote in the Associated Press, USA Today coaches or Harris polls, and the BCS rejected our computer rankings for its formula (granted, out math was quite shoddy). But we do have a say in's weekly national power rankings, and here's what we said this week:

We are obviously much kinder to the Big Ten than the AP poll, which has only two league teams (Ohio State and Wisconsin) this week. Adam and I are both very high on Wisconsin and can't believe the Badgers aren't in the coaches' poll. ... We both also include Michigan State this week, while Adam also has Nebraska in the poll and ahead of the Spartans. I'm a little more impressed with MSU right now because its win at Iowa is better than anything on the Huskers' résumé. But it is close. ... We both also dropped Michigan and Northwestern out this week. They remain just on the cusp and can get back in with some bounce-back performances. ... I flip-flopped Oregon and Clemson, finally moving the Ducks up to No. 2. Clemson's performance against Boston College and Georgia's loss didn't help. ... A bunch of losses this week meant that teams such as Baylor, UCLA, Missouri and Virginia Tech made big leaps on our ballots. ... One question I keep having is what to do with Florida. The Gators obviously have a tremendous defense, but their offense is abysmal. Do they really deserve to stay in the rankings?

What does your Top 25 look like this week?
