Recognizing the best and the brightest around the Big Ten in Week 11:

  • Nebraska DE Randy Gregory: Gregory has become the impact pass-rusher Nebraska needed to spark a young defense, which is finally hitting its stride. He recorded three sacks and a quarterback hurry as the Blackshirts made life miserable for Michigan's offense in a 17-13 win. The entire Nebraska defense merits a mention here after combining for season highs in both sacks (7) and tackles for loss (15), and holding Michigan to minus-21 net rush yards.
  • Wisconsin RB James White: Melvin who? Fellow Badgers back Melvin Gordon received most of the accolades in the first half of the season, but White has shown the past two weeks why he's so valuable to this team. He turned in one of his more complete performances as a Badger against BYU, recording 147 rush yards on 23 carries, 47 receiving yards on a career-high six receptions and three total touchdowns (2 rush, 1 receiving). White's 46 career touchdowns put him in a third-place tie on Wisconsin's all-time list.
  • Indiana WR Cody Latimer: Latimer set career highs in both receptions (11) and receiving yards (189) and tied his best for touchdown catches (3) as Indiana rallied past Illinois at Memorial Stadium. He recorded his fourth 100-yard receiving performance of the season and the sixth of his career, which is tied for fifth in team history. Latimer also is fifth on Indiana's career touchdown-receptions chart with 16, including eight this season.
  • Iowa RB Jordan Canzeri: The Hawkeyes sophomore had never had a 100-yard game before Saturday. He nearly matched his 2013 season total in Iowa's 38-14 victory at Purdue by rushing for 165 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. He led the way in a 318-yard rushing output for the Hawkeyes, who clinched bowl eligibility.
  • Minnesota RB David Cobb: The junior turned in his fourth consecutive 100-yard game on Saturday against Penn State, carrying it 27 times for 139 yards and a score. Cobb is now just 58 yards shy of 1,000 for the season.
