Combine begins for Big Ten NFL hopefuls
There might not be an NFL season in 2011, but the NFL scouting combine is under way in Indianapolis and plenty of Big Ten hopefuls are there.
Here's the full combine schedule. Today features no workouts, as players continue to be examined, measured, interviewed and tested both physically and psychologically.
The workout schedule is as follows:
Saturday: Offensive linemen, tight ends
Sunday: Quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs
Monday: Defensive linemen, linebackers
Tuesday: Defensive backs
Here's the list of Big Ten players as well as those from Nebraska invited to the combine:
MICHIGAN STATE (4)
OHIO STATE (9)
PENN STATE (2)
*Smith is still awaiting word from the NCAA on whether he'll receive a sixth year of eligibility. The Boilers receiver is still rehabbing from knee surgery and would return to Purdue this fall if granted a sixth year.
