Dan Persa listed as questionable again

By Brian Bennett

Northwestern quarterback Dan Persa's status for this week's game against Eastern Illinois is up in the air again.

Persa, who is recovering from last year's torn Achilles' tendon injury, did not play in the Wildcats' opening win over Boston College. Like last week at this time, Persa is listed as questionable on Northwestern's official injury report.

Running back Mike Trumpy, who led the team in rushing last week with 87 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, is listed as doubtful with a head injury. The full report:

DT Brian Arnfelt -- Foot, Out
DT Jack DiNardo -- Leg, Out
S Jared Carpenter -- Wrist, Out
LB Collin Ellis -- Hand, Out
LB Roderick Goodlow -- Leg, Out
WR Tony Jones -- Leg, Out
RB Mike Trumpy -- Head, Doubtful
QB Dan Persa -- Leg, Questionable

Minnesota's injury report for the New Mexico State game is also out, and it reads the same as last week. Here it is:

LB Brendan Beal (knee) - out
LB Aaron Hill (hamstring) - out
OK Josh Campion (head) - out
