Denard Robinson starts ... at tailback
By Brian Bennett
Denard Robinson was back on the field for Michigan at the start of today's game against Iowa, but not where we're used to seeing him.
Robinson came out for the Wolverines' first series and lined up at tailback, with Devin Gardner at quarterback. Robinson took a pitch on the first play, then caught a short swing pass on second down before jogging off on third down.
It looks like Gardner will continue to play quarterback, as Robinson's nerve issue prevents him from throwing effectively. But Robinson is healthy enough to play, and Michigan can still use his athleticism in other ways.
