Our Top 25 ballots

By Brian Bennett

Adam and I aren't Associated Press or Harris Poll voters, and no coach has asked us to fill out his ballot. But we do have a say in the weekly power rankings, and this is how our ballots looked this week:

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Oregon
4. Ohio State
5. Stanford
6. Texas A&M
7. LSU
8. Louisville
9. Florida State
10. Michigan
11. Georgia
12. Oklahoma State
13. South Carolina
14. Oklahoma
15. UCLA
16. Miami
17. Northwestern
18. Washington
19. Wisconsin
20. Notre Dame
21. Nebraska
22. Florida
23. Baylor
24. Arizona State
25. Ole Miss

Believe it or not, we did not collaborate on these, though our rankings -- especially our placement of Big Ten teams -- are very similar. We both have Michigan in the Top 10 -- deserved, I think, because so few other teams have quality wins like the Wolverines' victory over Notre Dame. There are really only some minor differences on our ballots; for example, I'm a little higher on Baylor than Adam, while he gives a little more credit to Louisville than I can muster, given the Cardinals' woeful schedule. It's still ridiculously early, so there will be a lot of movement to come, especially after Week 3.
