Northwestern starting running back Tyrell Sutton will play Saturday at Iowa after sitting out the second half of last week's win against Ohio. Sutton sustained a lower left leg injury late in the second quarter and did not return. Without him, Northwestern had five consecutive three-and-outs to begin the second half.

"From talking to him this morning, I fully anticipate that Tyrell will play," Wildcats head coach Pat Fitzgerald said Monday afternoon. "Exactly what limited capacity he'll be this week in practice, I'll figure it out as we go through the week. But he'll play [at Iowa]."

Sutton sat out five games and missed the better part of two others last season with a high ankle sprain.

Wildcats wide receiver Andrew Brewer will miss the Iowa game with a knee injury. Brewer, a converted quarterback who earned a starting job, hasn't caught a pass the last two games. True freshman Jeremy Ebert will make his second straight start in place of Brewer, and senior Jeff Yarbrough also will fill in against the Hawkeyes.
