Nebraska's Spano decides to hang it up

My apologies for posting this late, but Nebraska's quarterback pool is down one player.

Kody Spano has decided to end his playing career after battling injuries throughout his Huskers career. Spano tweeted Tuesday night: "I am hanging up the shoulder pads." He will remain in school at Nebraska and will have a role on the team as an inactive player.

Spano suffered two ACL tears in a five-month span in 2009 and suffered a left shoulder injury this spring that kept him out of the spring game.

Best of luck to Spano in his academic pursuit at Nebraska. The Huskers should be fine at quarterback with Taylor Martinez, Cody Green, Brion Carnes and possibly Bubba Starling.
