Black & Gold scrimmage set for Tuesday

January, 14, 2013
WILMINGTON, Mass. -- The Boston Bruins will hold their annual Black & Gold intersquad scrimmage at 7 p.m. Tuesday night at TD Garden.

The Bruins are expecting a full house since all 17,565 tickets have been printed. As part of their season-long incentives for the fans, admission for this scrimmage is free, but fans had to secure tickets prior to the game. Since all the complimentary tickets were distributed, the game will be live streamed for fans on, beginning at 6:55.

All Bruins players currently on the training camp roster will play. Boston will also bring up players from its AHL affiliate in Providence to participate in the scrimmage. Since the NHL teams are not allowed to schedule any exhibition games, the Bruins will try to simulate the scrimmage as best they can. There will be referees, two intermissions and three periods.

“We’re going to try to make it as game-like situation as we can,” Bruins coach Claude Julien said.
