March, 31, 2014
Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron has been named the NHL’s Second Star of the Week.

Bergeron is in the midst of a career-best seven game goal streak and posted five goals last week. The second-line center has 27 goals and 29 assists for 56 points. He also has a plus-36 rating, which ranks second in the NHL behind teammate David Krejci (plus-37).

Considered one of the best faceoff men in the league, Bergeron ranks third with a 58.8 faceoff winning percentage and his 954 faceoff wins are the most in the NHL.

Ottawa’s Kyle Turris and St. Louis’ T.J. Oshie were named first and third stars of the week, respectively.
