All are expected to be in the lineup against the Devils. Following Saturday’s 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres at TD Garden. Bruins coach Claude Julien said reinforcements would be needed since he’s balancing rest, dealing with a few injuries and wants to prevent other injuries as the Bruins prepare for the Detroit Red Wings in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron did not play the third period on Saturday with what Julien described as a minor issue. Forward Daniel Paille, who already has missed time this season with two concussions, needed help off the ice in the third period after a big hit. Forward Chris Kelly has been dealing with back spasms and will miss his third consecutive game, but Julien said he’s optimistic Kelly will be ready for the playoffs.
Before Sunday's game, Julien told reporters that Paille was "doing great" and was day-to-day going forward. Julien also termed Kelly day-to-day and said Bergeron is fine.
