LOS ANGELES -- With the 195th overall selection, the Boston Bruins selected defenseman Maxim Chudinov out of Russia.
“Normally we shy away from the Russians, but I’ve been assured he’s coming over in two years,” Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli said.
There's also a possibility Chudinov will be attending the Bruins' development camp in a couple of weeks.
The 5-foot-11, 187-pound native of Cherepovets, Russia scored his first career points with Cherepovets last
year, registering six goals and 13 assists in 47 games. 6-7=13 totals in 47 games. While playing with Cherepovets, Chudinov played along side fellow Boston Bruins prospect Yuri Alexandrov.
