The Olympic roster freeze ends at midnight Sunday; then the race to Wednesday's 3 p.m. trade deadline will begin.
While the Bruins scrimmaged Sunday morning at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington, general manager Peter Chiarelli told the assembled media what he's looking to do to improve his team.
"Obviously, you look at the statistics, and it's our scoring, it's bad, so you want to get some type of top-nine forward that has an offensive bend to his game. There's not many out there," said Chiarelli.
He also noted that any available scorer would probably be a rental. But with very few teams considered sellers right now, getting a deal done will be difficult.
