WILMINGTON, Mass. -- Boston Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference (lower-body injury) returned to the ice Wednesday morning and skated on his own at Ristuccia Arena before the team’s regular practice. He’s expected to skate again on Thursday, and could even participate in the Bruins’ morning skate at TD Garden, according to coach Claude Julien.
“He’s feeling much better,” Julien said.
Ference suffered the undisclosed injury on Feb. 26 in Vancouver.
Fellow Bruins defenseman Steven Kampfer (concussion) has been able to ride the stationary bike and there’s a chance he could be on the ice Thursday morning.
“Both are progressing as expected,” Julien said.
