BOSTON -- If the Bruins are looking for a miracle this season, they have decided to set up camp in the right place between Games 3 and 4 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against the Montreal Canadiens.
In a brilliant move by management, the Bruins will practice in the USA Rink in Lake Placid, N.Y., next Tuesday and Wednesday. Because there are two days between games, obviously the Bruins thought it best to escape the madness of Montreal and settle into the comfy confines of the Adirondack Mountains.
Unless you’ve been living under a Zamboni since 1980, Lake Placid is the site of the Miracle on Ice when Team USA defeated the Russians and went on to beat Finland for the Gold Medal in the Winter Olympics.
Bruins coach Claude Julien is all about team building, and every training camp he plans a weekend getaway for the players in Vermont.
Just an impressive move by the Bruins.
