BOSTON – Claude Julien said today that he "can't really talk about their team," when asked if Maxim Lapierre taunting Patrice Bergeron in Game 2 with his finger showed a lick of sportsmanship.
But then he did talk about their team.
“I don’t handle those players. I don’t deal with those players on a one-on-one basis. It’s not up to me to comment on it and if that’s acceptable for them, so be it” he said. “Certainly would be acceptable on our end. There’s not much I can say about that. The NHL ruled on something and they decided to make a mockery of it. It’s totally up to them. If that’s their way of handling things, so be it. We can’t waste our time on that sort of stuff. We have to focus on what we have to do. Last time I looked we are down two games and all of our energy has to go through that.”
